Introduction to Tailwind CSS

What is Tailwind CSS?

Tailwind CSS is a utility-first CSS framework that provides low-level utility classes to build custom designs directly in your markup. Instead of writing custom CSS, you compose designs using pre-built classes like bg-blue-500, text-center, and p-4.

Why Utility-First CSS?

Mini Challenges

Challenge 1: Create a Card

Create a card component with:

  • White background
  • Rounded corners
  • Padding of 24px
  • Drop shadow
  • A title and description

Challenge 2: Make it Responsive

Modify your card to:

  • Take full width on mobile
  • Take half width on tablet (md breakpoint)
  • Take one-third width on desktop (lg breakpoint)
